XML feeds as a live source: current products, prices, and availability

Reuse an existing Heureka, Google Merchant, or custom product feed for your AI assistant. Informio tracks real changes without needlessly rebuilding the entire catalog.

An online store needs answers based on current prices, stock, and product parameters. Manually maintaining thousands of products is impractical, so Informio can use XML product feeds as a live knowledge source.

Which product feeds can be processed

Informio understands common Heureka and Google Merchant structures and can support an agreed custom XML format. Every product is identified by a stable ID and converted into concise content suitable for retrieval and answers.

  • Name, description, category, manufacturer, EAN, and technical parameters.
  • Price, currency, product URL, and images that can appear in chat.
  • A separate availability feed can add stock and delivery information.

Only real changes are synchronized

Each import compares products using a stable ID and content fingerprint. An unchanged product is not embedded again. New products are added, changed ones are updated, and items missing from a complete feed are removed.

  • An unchanged product does not consume new embedding tokens.
  • A price change does not have to rebuild every descriptive product field.
  • The schedule can match how frequently your catalog changes.

Feed quality determines answer quality

If descriptions, parameters, or stock data are missing, AI has no reliable way to infer them. Informio evaluates product sources and reports specific gaps together with a percentage quality score.

  • See how many products lack descriptions, EANs, or technical parameters.
  • Receive a warning when no availability feed is connected.
  • Recommendations explain how each missing field affects customer answers.

What the store visitor receives

The assistant can compare relevant products, explain parameter differences, and provide direct links to product pages. When an image is present in the feed, the product can be shown visually inside the answer.

  • Answers reuse information already supplied to shopping comparison services.
  • Links lead to real product pages instead of generic categories.
  • Conversation history reveals customer demand and missing feed data.

One feed can power both comparison services and your AI

There is no need to rewrite the catalog manually. We can inspect the existing feed, map its fields, and configure scheduled differential synchronization before testing answers on your own products.
